Based in Sydney, and a CEDAR for Windows owner for more than six years, Australia's leading DVD authoring, encoding and mastering facility, has announced that it is purchasing CEDAR Cambridge.
Brian Rollason, Managing Director of DVM (Digital Video Mastering) says, "CEDAR is the natural choice for professional audio restoration - it has the product and offers a quality second to none. With hundreds of hours of audio restoration processed each year, CEDAR Cambridge will offer us even greater flexibility. I know that CEDAR Cambridge will improve our audio restoration throughput."
The system will be supplied and installed by CEDAR's Australian dealer, Control Devices, whose Managing Director, Rick Dowel adds, "CEDAR offers, without doubt, the best audio restoration platform in the world. CEDAR is clear thinking with its development and direction. CEDAR maintains a level of professionalism, rare in modern day professional audio. To represent CEDAR and to be involved with Cambridge, a real advance in audio restoration, is unique."
The first DVD Authoring facility in the Southern Hemisphere, and the first to master a DVD ROM in the Southern Hemisphere, DVM can also boast a string of world firsts. These include the world's first operational DVD disc, which was demonstrated at the DVD international launch in Singapore on October 26,1996, having been edited and mastered by DVM; the world's first PAL DVD disc for commercial distribution; the world's first PAL DVD1O authored disc (double sided, pan-scan and wide-screen versions); and the world's first dual standard DVD discs (DVD10, Side 'A' NTSC, Side 'B' PAL).
